Re: Aid workers heading for Gaza tragically shot in International waters

We, the undersigned, are deeply hurt and truly concerned for the injury and loss of life of Canadians, among others, heading towards Gaza in quest to provide relief and support.

It is very important that an independent inquiry be conducted as early as possible to prevent the repetition of such tragedy in the future.

Given the delicateness of the situation, it is imperative to have the human rights and dignity of all parties involved be respected and a proper investigation be pursued in order that justice be done and the truth be revealed.

Humanitarian workers and their works are sacred and their protection is a collective duty.

We are with those families who are grieving and strongly call for an end to this long standing crisis and safe return of the workers.
